The Wheel of Life helps you to identify what parts of your life that needs more attention and what parts are working. This exercise can be done whenever you are feeling overwhelmed or as a, “check in.”
The Exercise:
- Start with your wheel of life and observe all areas of the wheel.
- Go through each portion of the wheel and rate how you feel in that moment from 1-10. A 10 is feeling calm, with little stress and 1 being the opposite, feeling stressed and overwhelmed.
- Once you’ve completed the exercise, choose one area that you would like to focus on.
- With the area that you have chosen to work on, think of one small thing that may create a shift for you and feels attainable. Don’t get hung up on trying to change everything at once.
- Observe the other areas of the wheel. Try to keep your stress in perspective and remember there are parts of your life that are working.
- This can be done daily, weekly or whenever you are feeling overwhelmed.
