There is a lot to be learned from that 70’s song!
The other day I was at Tim Hortons rushing to get my son to school knowing that this particular Tims was very slow! However, I still chose to go there and I am forever grateful as I had a huge lesson from a very kind lady!
As I was standing in line, I felt very impatient and started to judge how slow the service was – thinking to myself, “Why is THAT lady so slow, how come she is taking her time…hurry up lady!” I felt so untethered and uptight in that moment!
When it was FINALLY my turn , THAT lady was so kind and helpful. She greeted me with so much kindness and compassion that my heart melted and I realized SHE was my guide- my reminder to SLOW DOWN!!! Today I dropped off flowers for her as a thank you. Next time you find yourself in that “rush” mode try to stop and reflect. Perhaps you might have a life lesson.
