More than ever before, wellness matters in our business. Real Estate is not a profession that talks much about mental health and wellness and if there ever is a time, it is now. As we are moving beyond the pandemic, stress and anxiety has increased dramatically and impacted all of us in one way or another. Canadians continue to develop mental health challenges, with 1 in 3 individuals experiencing more anxiety and depression than ever before.
As realtors we are not immune to stress and the challenges that face us in both our professional and personal lives.
We often take better care of our clients than we do with ourselves. At times burning out from overall stress and lack of stress management, self-care and delegating. But one thing I have learned over the years is how important it is to prioritize our health. We are much more available to others when we are feeling grounded and healthier. We do not have to compromise our overall wellbeing to be successful within our business. Having the right tools to help us through the ups and downs of life can have an amazing impact on the way we manage our business and overall life.
Real Estate, like any service industry is exhilarating, exciting, and rewarding, but it can also be draining and stressful. Learning to weave wellness into our day can only help support us in both our personal and professional lives, with more joy, ease, and energy. Afterall, “health is wealth”. Everything else follows.
